Covid-19 Update

The Covid-19 outbreak is hitting us hard. Our city is shutting down, volunteers are stepping back in order to self-isolate, veterinary clinics are taking fewer appointments, and everyone is bracing themselves for things to get worse before they get better.

We face the difficult task of pursuing our mission of saving the lives of homeless and abandoned animals, all the while protecting the health and safety of our volunteers, fosters, adopters, and community from the threat of this virus.

You can help. Here’s how:

Adoption events will be cancelled until further notice. Adoptable animals will be available for meet-and-greets by appointment only to pre-screened adopters. Contact us if you’re interested in adopting.

We are pausing all Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return efforts in the short term. We will let you know when these resume.

Supplies are becoming increasingly scarce. In-kind donations of supplies are greatly appreciated! Shop our Amazon Wishlist or contact us to find out what our greatest immediate needs are.

We desperately need your financial support to get us through this difficult period. Your support at this time will go a long way in helping us ensure we can help the animals and people in our community. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today.

We will continue to stay connected to you through email and social channels. We know everyone is facing this crisis in their own lives. Thank you for your help and continued support of S.H.A.C.

We wish you good health and strength at this challenging time.

–S.H.A.C. Board of Directors
